Ad Specifications

Digital Requirements

■ WE ACCEPT FILES IN THE FOLLOWING FORMATS:
· Preferred format: High-resolution (300ppi) PDF*
· QuarkXPress native (Mac)
· Photoshop EPS or TIFF
· Illustrator EPS
*InDesign and PC users must create PDFX1A file.

■ BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR ADS:*
· All colors and images must be CMYK, no spot colors
· Image resolution must be 300dpi
· Output: 150 (LPI) and 2400 (DPI)

■ QUARK REQUIREMENTS:
· Include all Macintosh screen and printer fonts.Do not apply ‘local’ style attributes (bold, italic).
· Include all resource files placed in the layout.

■ PHOTOSHOP REQUIREMENTS:
· 300dpi resolution
· Save file as a TIFF or EPS (DCS off).
· If file contains fonts, flatten to one layer and save as EPS

■ ILLUSTRATOR REQUIREMENTS:
· Images must be embedded, not linked
· Convert all fonts to outlines
· Save as an EPS

■ NOT ACCEPTED:
· MS Publisher files, PC fonts

Color Proof Requirements

A SWOP certifed color proof of the ad is required for color accuracy. If no color proof can be provided, please send a black-and-white print to verify type and layout.

NOTE: If an accurate color proof using SWOP Standards* is not provided, Seattle Homes & Lifestyles can’t be responsible for exact color reproduction.

Design Services

Seattle Homes & Lifestyles offers ad design services for a reasonable fee. We can help you develop the concept or layout an ad based on your description. Simply submit the following materials:

· Text in a MS Word document or via email
· Pictures, slides, transparencies or a 300dpi digital image
· A sharp black-and-white print or digital file of your logo

Submitting Materials

· CD (preferred)
· Email (if file is less than 4MB)
· FTP (detail upon request)
